HB 3 added a financial aid application requirement for high school graduation. This requirement states that each student must do one of the following in order to graduate:
(1) Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
(2) Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TAFSA)
(3) Submit a signed opt-out form
If you have already completed the FAFSA application, please stop by Mrs. Allovio's office to verify the date your application was processed.
Information on the TASFA:
The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is a free application that collects information to help determine eligibility for state (or institutional) financial aid programs administered by institutions of higher education in the state of Texas. Students classified as Texas residents who are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) use this form. To our knowledge, we do not have students who should complete this form.
