SUMMER TRACK SCHEDULE CHANGE!

Yesterday was a great day  Pirate Nation!  Con GRANT ulations!  (Coach Ely’s words) Grant Underwood did what very few in the State of Texas have ever done and brought home his 4th straight Academic UIL GOLD MEDAL 🥇 in Spelling & Vocabulary.  That is a 4 PEAT!  He did not take it for GRANT ed and put in all the hard work all 4 years! 🤩 A huge congratulations also to the Spelling & Vocabulary team of Grant, Colette, Brayden, and Brynley for bringing home the 2nd Place Silver Team Medal.  Mrs. Fisher is beyond proud of all 4 of these student’s hard work, dedication and accomplishments this year.

Good luck to our Spelling & Vocabulary Team composed of Grant, Colette, Brayden, and Brynley and also to Grant in Current Issues & Events as they all compete at State Academic UIL on Monday and Tuesday at the University of Texas in Austin.

Congratulations to Grant Underwood who received a 2025-2026 Smoaky's Academic All-Stars Award last night at their annual banquet! The award honors a Senior from each area school who excels in athletics, but most importantly in the classroom, and in their communities.

Mrs. Phennig’s class is celebrating their last day of Kindergarten today!

Senior Parent Breakfast was held this morning. Tomorrow night at 7:30 this CHS Class of 2026 will walk the stage!!

Can be beads, glasses, anything patriotic … something fun to show our spirit and for our student section to get into. Our opponents fan base travels well and is very loud so let’s show up BIG, have fun and BE LOUD!

Here is a picture of the group who attended the MCC Decision Day on MCC’s campus today. Students were able to be advised for registration, get their schedules, pick up parking passes & student IDs, and celebrate their decision to attend MCC in the fall!
