Congratulations to Grant Underwood who received a 2025-2026 Smoaky's Academic All-Stars Award last night at their annual banquet! The award honors a Senior from each area school who excels in athletics, but most importantly in the classroom, and in their communities.

Here is a picture of the group who attended the MCC Decision Day on MCC’s campus today. Students were able to be advised for registration, get their schedules, pick up parking passes & student IDs, and celebrate their decision to attend MCC in the fall!

We are excited to announce the addition of Jessica Johnson to our Pirate Staff!! Here is her introduction in her own words so you can get to know our newest member of the Pirate Family: I am a graduate of Valley Mills High School and attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB)—proud UMHB alum, Go Cru! I have taught at Midway ISD for the past two years and am excited to begin my third year of teaching.
I recently got engaged to my high school sweetheart, and we will be getting married this upcoming year. Our families have recently grown with new sweet nieces and nephews who keep life fun and exciting.
I love the auntie life and enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active, and being outdoors fishing, hiking, camping, and hunting. I am so excited to join Crawford ISD and help these sweet students grow!
