Congratulations to all of our Crawford FFA teams who competed at Area yesterday! Dairy Cattle & Horse Judging both qualified for State. We had 5 other teams who also competed in the Area Contest that was held at Tarleton. Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to our Horse Judging team! They are headed to State! Members are Chelsea Blankenship, Finley Wright, Ally Ingle-Dyer, Abby Dean, Presley Parker, and Kaiyah Velasquez. They finished 1st place in District and 3rd at Area. At Area, Chelsea was 8th high point individual and Finley was 20th.
Congratulations to our Dairy Cattle Judging team! They qualified for State! Team members are Theo Goldenberg, Brylee Garrett, Ryker Phythian, and Camryn Westerfield. They finished 1st in District and 3rd in Area. At Area
Theo was 2nd high point individual and Brylee was 15th high point individual.

6th graders went outside today to conduct an experiment where they measured their heart rate after engaging in different levels of physical activity: resting, walking, jogging, and sprinting. After each activity, they counted their heartbeats for ten seconds to calculate their beats per minute (BPM) and tracked how their heart rate changed as their level of exercise increased. They then created a bar graph to visually display the data, showing the relationship between physical activity and heart rate. Before starting the experiment, the students formed a hypothesis about what they thought would happen to their heart rate as they moved from resting to sprinting. After analyzing their results, they discussed the findings and answered the question, "What happens to a person's heart rate as the level of activity increases?"
