It is another great morning at Crawford Elementary! Pirate football players were there to greet the students this morning!

Pirate Events for the week of August 26th: The Lady Pirate volleyball team will travel to Rogers on Tuesday, August 27, to play in a non-district volleyball match. Both JV teams will play at 5:00 pm in two gyms and the varsity will follow afterwards in the main gym. On Thursday, August 29, the junior high volleyball team will open up with Abbott. The match starts at 6 pm at Abbott High School. Also on that day the JV football team will travel to Tolar and their game starts at 6 pm. The junior high will not play this week. Friday marks the opening of the 2019 football season and the Crawford Pirates will take on the Tolar Rattlers at Pirate Field with the start time of the game being at 7:30. Come early, stay late and be loud as you support the Pirates. Remember the Pep Rally is at 8:15 am in front of the high school Friday morning. Saturday, August 31, the Crawford Pirates and Lady Pirates run in the Valley Mills invitational Cross Country meet, starting at 8:30 am at Valley Mills High School.
Come out and support the Pirates.

Crawford FFA will have an introduction meeting for parents and students tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. in the high school lunchroom. Meeting will cover events and activites for this school year. If you are new to FFA or returning please make plans to attend.

The pep rally for the Tolar game will be held at 8:15 a.m. in front of the school on Friday, August 30th. The students on this campus will be allowed to go to the pep rally during 1st period. If you are a student who has late arrival you will need to make an adjustment to your schedule so you are at the pep rally. We are making this adjustment due to the gym floor not being finished. The Crawford Pirates had a great 3 day start to the school year. We must continue to build on that start and get better each day. We are focusing on the first twenty days to get everything down to a great routine and deliver the best education to our students.
Crawford High School received an A of the state rating system for last year. There were only 3 schools in the region that received this distinction and Crawford High School was one of them. That is a tribute to the teachers and the students of this district. Parents you are very deserved there as well, way to go, way to go.
Tonight we host Bremond in the " Meet the Pirates" scrimmage. The festivities start around 5:50 with the introduction of the Jr HI Cheerleaders and Jr Hi football teams. The JV will scrimmage at 6 pm. After the JV scrimmage is over there will be introductions of the Varsity and JV football teams. The Cheerleaders will be introduced as well as the Cross Country teams, Volleyball teams and the Varsity Cheerleaders. At the conclusion of the varsity football scrimmage will be the consumption of the best ice cream around. Come one and come all.
The Volleyball team is playing at Lorena tonight and they will play in the Gold Bracket of the Robinson tournament on Saturday at Robinson High School.
Again we are off to a great start and let's continue that from here on out.

We are having a GREAT DAY at Crawford Elementary! Our little Pirates had a great drop off with the Senior Varsity Football players there to greet them!

Crawford High School got off to a great start today. Thanks to all of the students, the parents and teachers for making that happen. Way to go!

Message from Mrs. Stout: It was a great first day at Crawford Elementary! If your child is a car rider please make sure you have your child's name clearly marked on a peice of paper. The paper must be displayed in a very visible place. A lot of the parents are putting the paper on a plastic clothes hanger and then hanging it from their rear view window or to their visor. Please make sure that you keep it visible or hanging up until after you have picked up your child and they are in the car with you. Just waving the piece of paper at the teachers is making it hard for them to have the children lined up as they need to be to ensure a smooth process. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our Little Pirates safe during afternoon pickup!
