Please help us extend a big welcome back to a former Crawford graduate! Jill (Holmes) Cartwright will be teaching 3rd grade at Crawford Elementary! Jill grew up in Crawford and graduated from Crawford High School in 2002. She graduated from Texas State University in 2005. She has been teaching for 10 years (2nd-6th grades). The last 7 were at Woodway Elementary. She has a masters degree in Educational Administration. Jill is married to Micah and they have 3 kids Mason (12), Charlie (4), and Caroline (5 weeks). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is very excited about teaching in Crawford this coming year!
Please help us welcome Liz Fox to our Pirate family! She will be teaching 3rd grade at Crawford Elementary! Liz grew up in McAllen, TX in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from UT Austin. Her husband of 30 years, Brent, has been the financial controller for Brazos Electric Coop since they moved to Waco (Woodway) in 2000. They have three grown kids: Marshall, MaryCarol, and Mac who is a senior at ACU.
She has taught at Midway’s River Valley Intermediate and the original Intermediate School since 2001.
Liz and her husband love cycling (especially in the Crawford area) and also enjoy kayaking and hiking beautiful Texas. She is also an amateur artist mostly painting in oils and acrylics. She is VERY excited to be joining the Crawford family!
BIG NEWS from Crawford Elementary: There are alot of staff changes for this next school year! Keep an eye on Crawford ISD Facebook as we will be introducing all the new staff members in the coming weeks! Some teachers moving around include Marion Ekman who will now be teaching 4th grade, and Jana Hall & Allison Mayfield who will both be teaching 2nd grade. In other news, Kim Pearson and Shelley Westerfeld have retired. These two amazing teachers will be so missed but we wish them the best in their next adventure!

Congratulations to all our students & staff! Crawford finished tied for 7th in the Lone Star Cup! The Lone Star Cup standings include points based on team performance in district and state championships.
There will be a banquet to honor our 2019 2A State Champion Softball Team! Banquet will be held Friday, June 28th, at 7:00 PM, in the Elementary Cafeteria.
