Crawford beat Clifton 16-12! Way to go Pirates!!! #PiratePride

Greetings and Salutations to all of Pirate Nation! I hope this finds you well. We are still concentrating on the #firsttwentydays of school at the high school. We are focusing on trying to get things done right and establish how things are done. It is a work in progress but I am pleased with our efforts. This year the Class of 2020 is going to do a Senior Project. Our first thought is we want to try and do something for this community. In some way give back to the community for supporting all of the efforts of the Crawford Pirates. We are looking for good ideas to do. I have talked with several community members, parents and organizations and I have asked for their input on what that Senior Project may look like. I am asking you who read this to give us some input as well as what the Senior Project ideas could be. You can submit to me at mpritchett@crawford-isd.net. We look forward to hearing from you. The gym is getting closer to being finished. It is really starting to look good. We will release information next week on when it will be available to host games, pep rallies and such. Stay tuned. The Pirates travel to Clifton tonight to take on the Cubs. Volleyball has an open date tonight. The junior varsity lost a tough game last night to Clifton. The junior high volleyball played at Bosqueville and defeated the Bulldogs. Way to go! The junior high football team will open up their season next week taking on Rice. They will play at Rice, can you say road trip? Cross country runs tomorrow in the Crawford Invitational. Come out and support our high school and junior high runners. That is about it for this week. See you tonight, be loud and be proud.

Wondering what's happening behind those locked doors in the gym?? Here are the latest "new gym floor" progression pictures since the last update! Still some work to be done! STAY TUNED... WE MIGHT be back on it next week!

Crawford fans came out this morning to cheer on the Pirates as the prepare to travel to Clifton tonight to play the Cubs. Kickoff is at 7:30. GO PIRATES!

PARENTS OF BUS RIDERS: Crawford ISD sometimes has to use sub bus drivers. Because they do not know the routes as well, they might occasionally miss picking up a student. If that happens please call the school and we will send someone out to pick up your child!

Today was the last day for PALs to help with drop off this semester. Next week, High School Cheerleaders will be there to greet the students!

PEP RALLY will be held at 8:15 in the morning in front of the High School since work on gym floor is not completed yet. Make plans now to come out and cheer on your Pirates!! BE LOUD...BE PROUD!!!

Parents of Elementary Students: 2nd pep rally will be held at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow in the front of the high school. The fifth grade will go to the pep rally as a class as it is their PE time and they are allowed to go to every Pep Rally as a group. The high school will send a bus for them at 8:10 or as soon as they can get ready. K-4 will have a slow start to their day. K-4 students will be allowed to go to the pep rally with their parents if they want and come to school a little late. Late students should enter through the back doors. All students should be at the elementary by at least 8:55.

Time is free but it's priceless. You can't own it but you can use it. You can't keep it but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back. It's the most valuable commodity on earth yet most throw it away. Decide how you'll spend it or others will decide it for you. (Bob Shipley)
