Congratulations to our Pirate Regional Qualifiers! The boys track team performed great yesterday in the Area track meet. They came in second by 8 points. The following boy athletes will be advancing to the Regional Track meet: Dalton Compton - 3200 and 1600 meter run, Dylan Rose - 800 meter run, Trey Dobie - 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles, Ty Williams - 300 Hurdles, Huston Powers - 400 meter run, Brady Ward -Pole Vault, Colt Cunningham/ Colt Murphree/ Luke Torbert/ Breck Chambers/ Huston Powers - 800 Meter Relay, Colt Murphree/ Breck Chambers/ Luke Torbert/ Huston Powers/ Colt Cunningham - Mile Relay. Important reminder: Local scholarship applications for seniors are due on Tuesday, April 13 at 12:30 pm. This is a firm deadline and late applications will not be accepted. We have school holidays on April 9 and 12 so seniors should plan carefully. All applications must be turned in directly to Mrs. Claxton by the student, a family member, or friend. Mrs. Claxton will be at the high school on Monday evening, April 12, from 7:30-8:30 pm for seniors who would like to turn the applications in prior to Tuesday.
