The McLennan Community College Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2024-25 academic year at Home Page (awardspring.com). Deadline to apply is midnight Jan. 15, 2024.
The MCC Foundation manages more than 400 scholarship funds and makes awards based on merit, need, academic major, high school, employer, and many more criteria. The Foundation awarded a record-breaking $712,749.59 in student scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year. This is the highest amount awarded to students in the Foundation’s 33-year history.
Instructions for applying:
1. This application is for the 2024-2025 academic year (which begins August 2024).
2. For the best user experience, use Chrome or Firefox.
3. Go to Home Page (awardspring.com) to access the Foundation website.
4. Click the yellow button “Sign in with Your School Account”.
5. Sign in using your initials and your seven digit MCC ID number (i.e., xx0000000) and password. If you do not have an MCC ID number, go to http://www.mclennan.edu/admissions/become-a-student to apply to MCC. You should receive your ID number within 3-5 business days after this step is complete and then you will be able to complete the scholarship application.
6. After you have completed the initial application, a checklist will appear on your dashboard for scholarship opportunities that require additional information. If you feel that you meet the qualifications, answer the required questions and click the “Submit” button. Please note that by completing and submitting the general application, you will be considered for most scholarships.
7. Notifications of scholarship awards will be sent beginning the week of March 14, 2024. Notifications will be sent to MCC STUDENT EMAIL ADDRESSES and are time sensitive. If you are offered a scholarship, you will have five business days to accept it.

Very Important Deadline for Schedule Changes...

First grade reading and writing activities this week were centered around the Gingerbread Man theme! Students ended the week of fun by decorating gingerbread cookies!







Fifth grade finished up their unit on energy and circuits today. They made themselves a complete circuit and used play dough with the makey-makey to play the piano, made a huge human circuit by holding hands, and got to play etch a sketch and soccer by using the play dough as controls










Christmas Band Concert will be held next Wednesday night!
