It was a great day in Mrs. O'Bryant's classroom today! They kicked off Dr. Seuss week/Read Across America Week with some special guest readers! Mrs. O'Bryant's mom and husband came to read to the class today!

Today is a very busy day at CHS with lots of students out for various sports! But, Mrs. Mabry and officers were able to take a pic today as they are wrapping up National FFA Week. Our FFA students and advisors put in many hours and travel many miles each year representing Crawford FFA. We appreciate all they do and we are very proud of our local chapter!
Crawford Elementary had the pleasure of welcoming Makenzie Asisi, owner of Milk Bottle Cookies, as our My Future Friday guest! Makenzie shared how her love for family and passion for serving others inspired her business journey. Students then had the exciting opportunity to create their own cookie recipes—Makenzie will take their ideas back to her bakery and choose one winning recipe to make for the entire school! We are so thankful for the continued support of our community in helping spark ideas and inspire the next generation in their future endeavors. We cannot wait to see (and taste 😉) the winning cookie!!

Today in Mrs. Stones class they are participating in a text structure snack lab! Throughout the week, they have been practicing how to recognize and respond to the five types of text structure. Today, they are rotating through five stations where they read a passage, complete an activity or observation, determine the text structure, and answer multiple-choice and short-answer questions connected to each text.
It was a great morning seeing all our little friends!! Thanks to all who came!!! See you on Friday, March 27th, for our next Little Pirates Storytime.
